La comunidad está invitada a reunirse para el Día Nacional de Oración en Mableton, uno de los encuentros de oración más grandes del condado de Cobb.

Organizado por Mableton 4P, en colaboración con la Ciudad de Mableton, este evento reúne a residentes, líderes de fe y miembros de la comunidad para unirse en oración por nuestras familias, escuelas, líderes y comunidad.

Este encuentro está abierto para todos, sin importar su origen o denominación. Damos la bienvenida tanto a personas que hablan inglés como español, creando un espacio donde toda la comunidad puede reunirse en un ambiente de unidad, reflexión y esperanza compartida.

Ya sea que asista con su familia, amigos o por su cuenta, está invitado a acompañarnos en una tarde enfocada en la fe, el apoyo y la conexión.

Meeting Calendar

4P will meet on the third Thursday of every odd month (ex: Jan, Mar, May). The location will be different each time to allow each 4P branch to showcase their assets, talents and facilities.

May 2, 2026- Taste of Mableton

The 5th Annual Taste of Mableton, will be May 2, 2026 at the Mable House Complex located at 5239 Floyd Road in Mableton. The activities will begin at 9:00am last until 4:00 pm. The festival attracts an audience of 10,000+ for a full day of food, fun activities and live entertainment for the entire family. It is a wholesome celebration of the city of Mableton and is produced by the Mableton Improvement Coalition (MIC).

May 7,2026- National Day of Prayer

This event will be held at the Mable House Amphitheatre in the evening from 6pm until 8pm. Please mark your calendars and plan to come and experience God and the community. There will be a Eventbrite sign up closer to the event. Please check back in April for more information.

Explore Mableton 4P's

The P in 4Ps stand for  Principals, Pastors, Public Safety and Community Partners. The City of Mableton is working diligently on these four community cornerstones to build a robust and resilient network of collaborators who will be ready and able to meet community needs.

Principals

This branch of the 4Ps allows for direct and purposeful collaboration between and within our local schools. This branch is called "principals", but anyone with an interest or resources to assist our schools is encouraged to get involved.

Public Safety and Emergency Services

This branch of the 4Ps is a gateway into positive and lasting relationships with all branches of public safety on both the county and local levels. This branch is not limited to just police, but also includes Fire, 911, and EMS.

Community Partners

This branch of the 4Ps is setting the groundwork for change. This branch encompassed all types of partners from local coalitions, business associations and advocacy groups to nonprofits and volunteer corps.

As the appointed City Manager and chief executive of Mableton, GA, Bill Tanks oversees all municipal operations and budgets. Appointed in April 2024, he ensures the execution of city laws and directs the administration of local departments. He holds advanced degrees in Accounting and Business, alongside specialized training in Fire Science. A 30-year Mableton resident, Mr. Tanks views his leadership role as a personal calling to serve his community. Outside of City Hall, he is a dedicated father of four and a proud grandfather to three.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS- As President of the Mableton Improvement Coalition (MIC), Beth Akers leads initiatives focused on integrity, equity, and community transformation. She brings 25 years of experience across criminal justice, social work, and business operations to her civic leadership. A former probation officer and mitigation firm founder, Beth is an expert in restorative justice and system navigation. In addition to MIC, she serves as a local HOA President and runs her own firm, New ERA Designs. Based in Mableton with her family, Beth is dedicated to empowering residents and creating a purposeful future for the city.

PUBLIC SAFETY- Appointed Deputy Chief of Police in December 2025, Damon Ballard is a key member of the department’s command staff. A U.S. Army veteran with nearly 30 years of service to Cobb County, he has been with the force since 2001. His leadership history includes roles as Precinct 3 Commander and head of Internal Affairs and recruiting. With experience in patrol and community affairs, he is highly regarded for his work in officer professional development. In his new executive role, he continues to oversee critical operations while upholding the department’s high standards.

PASTORS- Kerrick A. R. Butler II is a graduate of Word of Faith Bible Training Center and Oral Roberts University. He gained extensive ministry experience volunteering in Michigan and Georgia before serving as a pastor in Texas. An expert instructor, he has led youth, singles, and campus ministries while teaching at the Pistis School of Ministry. Kerrick uses creative demonstrations to teach others how to live supernaturally and share the message of Jesus. Alongside his wife Racquel, he is dedicated to drawing others to Christ through purposeful and joy-filled living.

PRINCIPALS- Leroy “Tre’” Hutchins is a lifelong Cobb resident and doctoral candidate with a BFA and MBA. He serves on the Cobb County School Board, representing Mableton, Austell, and Powder Springs. Tre’ founded the South Cobb Alliance and was a key architect of Mableton’s 2023 city incorporation. A Leadership Cobb graduate, he holds board positions with the Georgia PTA and Department of Education. He remains a dedicated advocate for South Cobb families and the public school system.
